That looks good.

But this looks horrid:

Can you run that with -x set and send the output on?  It may be huge, so
directly is fine:
	/bin/sh -x bin/faxrcvd "recvq/fax000003388.tif" "ttyS0" "000262349" "T.30 T2 timeout, expected signal not received" > /tmp/faxrcvd.log 2>&1
