Using hylafax v4.3.2 on Gentoo Linux box. I can successfully send emails to hylafax and it will send it to my fax machine. It works with Postscript attachments, but doesn't seem to work with PDFs.
I read the "Email to Fax Gateway" doc and followed the instructions. I added the line "MIMEConverters: /var/spool/fax/mimetype" to my /usr/lib/fax/hfaxd.conf file
I created the directory structure /var/spool/fax/mimetype/ /var/spool/fax/mimetype/application /var/spool/fax/mimetype/application/pdf /var/spool/fax/mimetype/application/ps /var/spool/fax/mimetype/image /var/spool/fax/mimetype/image/tiff
I chown uucp:uucp it all like all the other dirs. I make sure the converter programs exist in /var/spool/fax/bin they do and have proper executable permissions.
I also checked the file /usr/lib/fax/typerules and tried one of both options (of course not at the same time) 0 string %PDF pdf 0 string %PDF pdf pdf2ps %i %o
With all this, PDF attachments still won't work. Does anyone have any ideas ?
