[hylafax-users] R: R: sender of dispatched faxes- SOLVED

Thanks all, I am trying all the things you all suggested.

I already tried (with no success) in putting

FROMADDR=fax@xxxxxxxxxxxx;
TOADDR=faxmaster@xxxxxxxxxxxx;

Into FaxDispatch

Also
FROMADDR=fax@xxxxxxxxxxxx;
SENDTO=faxmaster@xxxxxxxxxxxx;

Nothing;

Now I am trying to modify hfaxd, specifically modifying:

#FaxContact:             FaxMaster  # who gets questions/complaints

Into
FaxContact:             FaxMaster@rightdomain  # who gets questions/complaints

Anyway my question was slightly different: I would like to know where Hylafax 4.3.1 stored the wrongdomain variable...

Actually the problem wasn't HylaFax, but postfix.
Postfix saved "myhostname" variable in /etc/postfix/main.cf with the old wrongdomain name, which was the one used at postfix-install time.

Changing there and restarting postfix, everything was solved.

Thanks all,

Andrea

You could also go the route of changing your MTA to masq the domain name
from wrongdomain to rightdomain. Sendmail will do this with a very
small change to the config.

Try defining FROMADDR in a file called FaxNotify this time, just like
you did in the FaxDispatch file. For more information, type 'man notify'
when logged into your HylaFAX server.
