Your session log indicates you're suppressing dialtone detection with an X0:

Is there any reason for this? Is it possible there is no dialtone on the 
line? Is the modem perhaps not correctly localized for your region?

If you plug an analog handset into that line and dial 007229308796 do you 
hear the call get connected?

If you get the HylaFAX server to dial a number you know works, such as your 
office line or mobile, does it ring?

Hello,

I'm using a devolo microlink 56k Fun II and debian with kernel 2.6.8. If I 
want to send a fax then I get a failure:

SEND FAILED: JOB 84 DEST XXXXXX ERR No carrier detected.

I don't know what I can do!

Does anybody know the answer?
