if you want to get a mail, you have to configure a mail transfer angent (like exim).
than you have to configure a pop3-server. now you can recieve the mail for example with thunderbird.

By the way, my FaxDispatch:

FILETYPE=pdf;
SENDTO=FaxMaster;

in my /etc/aliases:
FaxMaster: faxaccount
