solved changing /var/spool/cups permissions to 0777 :)

If you do this, there is no error handling. If a fax is not properly
received, it will most likely waist paper printing error messages because
the file will not exist. The origional line "tiff2ps -a $FILE | lpr" that
you used is correct, it just needs to be inserted into the script logic at
the correct place, that being after the first "if [ -f $FILE]; then" line.
Here is my faxrcvd so you can see how I did it. I have logic to check if
the fax was dispatched to someone first, if not then it prints to a
designated printer. I also have some logic in here to convert all tiff files
to g4 format so that MS Windows can open the files in its default picture
viewer app.
