Hello Lívio,

the program or printer driver has to do something because a PostScript printer has only a limited set of standard fonts. It can either convert the text to outline curves, i.e. graphics, or embed the font in the document.

If you really have to use a special font for the fields to be replaced, the comlpete font must be available when Ghostscript converts your cover page with data fields to a TIFF file.

First option: Your program or driver should embed the whole font in your document. (There are programs that embed a reduced font with only those characters actually used in your document.)

Second option: You could install the font on your HylaFAX server that Ghostscript can access it and tell your program or printer driver not to embed the font in the PostScript document.

I don't know if its possible to tell your program or driver to embed the complete font or to not convert the text to outline curves.

Bodo
