I might have to think about whether or not the speed is acceptable. Are you implying that cost would be high over time due to longer call times? The SCINTRA products only support V.17 (14k4 bps) which if you are using 8 lines is going to cost you a lot of money over time. It's also based on an ancient Conexant chipset which might give you issues with warranty in the future. Regards ANDREW RINALDI Mainpine Ltd. Their website mentions only the Comtrol RocketModem cards which I can't find available here in Australia. I am thinking of getting a NetComm SCINTRA600 card, which supports up to 8 modem modules. NetComm supply drivers for Linux (Kernel 2.4 or later) so I guess it works under Linux. However I'd really like to know if that particular card, or any others that people know of, work with Hylafax. I don't want to fork out over $1200 for a piece of hardware that isn't compatible. I'd be interested to hear about any experiences (good or bad) with any brand of multi-modem card under Hylafax.
