You've sent us the receive-side log. How about sending us the send-side log, too?

This sequence of commands occurs because the modem detects the V.21 carrier when we told it to expect the V.29 carrier. It indicates a dissynchronization between the sender and receiver has occurred.


Recent versions of HylaFAX improve the behavior in this regard - they're usually capable of detecting the V.21 signal and act upon it.

However, the rest of your log shows *a lot* of data loss occurring between sender and receiver. My guess is that you need to have your phone lines checked... or you're using VoIP.
