Your log indicates that the receiver does not support ECM and confirmed the fax page receipt as "acceptable quality" when sent at V.17 14400.


The *best* thing would be for the receiver to get ECM supported or to increase the threshold for "acceptable quality". But, since you probably cannot do much about those things...

Please do try with V.29 9600. With sendfax you do that like this:

sendfax -B 9600 -d 0623394562

(adding the -B 9600). If you're not using sendfax then you'd set DesiredBR to 3 in DestControls or JobControl (depending on if you're using 4.3.0 or not) for that destination. See 'man destctrls' or 'man jobcontrol'.
