After applying the patch I think I've been able to send emails in HTML
format and have the attachments passed by the mimetype checker, but it seems
I am running into another more documented problem in that all the
attachments are coming up mime type application/octet-stream instead of the
correct mime type, i.e. image/tif.

I'm going to give it some more thought, but its making me think that using a
fax print driver would be a hell of a lot easier!  Will report progress :)
