Re: [hylafax-users] receiving color fax messages

Hi Rafal,

Please take a look at the following;

http://hylafax.sourceforge.net/howto/install.php#ss2.5

You probably also want to update to HylaFAX 4.3.0 or HylaFAX+ 4.3.0.3

Subject: [hylafax-users] receiving color fax messages

Hello,

I've bought Brother MFC-5440CN machine, which (according to the
documentation) can send color faxes. I set quality to "photo" and pushed the
button "coulour start" (there is also "mono start" for b/w faxes). However
my hylafax (4.2.4-2 from Debian Etch) received standard, obscure message.
The changelog for HylaFAX 4.2.2 version
says:

* add JPEG color fax receiving support - requires
  that libtiff and libjpeg be enhanced (6 May 2005)

so it means I don't have proper libtiff and/or libjpeg libraries?
I am using Zoom v34 Class 1 modem but I don't need any special modem or a
phone line to receive color faxes, do I?

Regards,
Rafal Jankowski
