[hylafax-users] sending with different MSN's

I've set up an Debian Sarge HylaFax server and everything
works great. I configured different users which receive
emails with fax attachment depending on the DDI Number.

Now the Problem is that every User sending fax by using
the fax server has the same outgoing number set in the
config.faxCAPI. (StationID)

Is there a solution to send facsimiles with a "FROMADDR"
depending on the User using the fax server at the moment?

I've already read an article about creating another device
but in this case there are too many faxusers to create a
personel device for everyone and its too much effort to
administrate.

If the different users from different fields of activity
would send faxes they would all get a reply to the same
number while having different DDIs.

Hope i explained my problem well enough :)

Thanks for any help

Tom

Hi,

I had the same problem. Here what I did:

I wrote a small wrapper-script that parses a configfile with settings for
each user. So you can do a per user configuration.

Then I call the 'c2faxsend' with these options overriding the systemwide
config. So I managed that I can override all clientsettings which I don't
want users to change.

Hi

thanks for your reply :)

I already thought about a solution like that.. but
im not familiar with scripting and im new to linux

Could someone explain to me how such a "wrapper" script looks
like and and how i could override the default system settings
for faxsend ?

thanks for any help

Tom
