I have been running Hylafax for about 6 months using 2 analog modems and it has been working pretty well. I have since installed an analog DID tunk and a Multitech MulitModemDID. I am unable to get a fax to connect to the Multimodem. The dialing fax will start to connect to the modem but it will die out during handshaking. Can anyone make any suggestions as to what I need to do to fix this?

Does it produce a session log? If so, what does the session log say?

In all of my analog DID installations the one thing that seems to always be in-doubt is the polarity on the DID line. You may want to try reversing the wires. However, there is an AT command to do that, also, I think.

That extremely useful but poorly documented function is AT*DP#, where the # can be either 0 which is the default polarity or 1 which will reverse the polarity. We find it's required in rougly 50% of MultiModemDID installations.
