It is still for sale, but development on it ceased many moons ago. I (biased that I am) would suggest getting a Multi-Tech MT5634ZBA-V92. It supports V.34 as well as Class 1. Best bet would be to get a new modem or at least one that >supports Class 1 (but not a USR). That's wierd since I bought this modem new a few months ago. OK It's a MT2834ZDXb, not a plain ZDX. It's been years since I looked seriously at modems. I don't do USR given that I've had absolutely horrible support from them, even when I had a couple of rather expensive USRs on loan for evaluation for a large sale (HSTs if I remember correctly). My conclusions after testing modems extensively from a wide variety of vendors was that most of them were junk, particularly if one wanted to use them in unattended operations. The only modems that I found consistently reliable were MultiTech and Telebit. Any suggestions for reliable external modems available today that work well with hylafax and dialup uucp (yes we still support it)?
