[hylafax-users] re[2]: add date and timestamp to e-mail notification
- To: hylafax mailing list <hylafax-users@xxxxxxxxxxx>
- Subject: [hylafax-users] re[2]: add date and timestamp to e-mail notification
- From: Dave Butcher <dbutcher@xxxxxxx>
- Date: Thu, 2 Mar 2006 09:16:40 -0800
The e-mail client shows the date the e-mail was read/completed, not the date it was sent by the hylafax server. The sent date is visibile in a detailed e-mail header, but I'm trying to make it more useful by including it in the subject or body of the e-mail itself.
Cheers,
Dave

Doesn't your email client already show the timestamp of the email
itself in a column near the column of the subject of the email?
The email is sent as soon as the fax is sent, so that its timestamp
has the info you want.
