I don't think that there are any tutorials.  There may be examples in 
the archives.

The "new" FaxModify (see 'man tiff2fax', 'man pdf2fax', and 'man 
ps2fax') mechanism should allow you to do this server-side where any 
examples you'll find will probably be client-side.
