Re: [hylafax-users] Winprint trouble

I had huge problems using winprint with similar symptoms. Check your
rDNS. Telnet to the hylafax server on port 4559. WHFC can handle the
rDNS warning produced by hylafax but winprint can't. It'd be nice if
winprint gave a less cryptic error though.

Subject: [hylafax-users] Winprint trouble

Hi all,
I have my hylafax server running and I love it. It's been
working well for about two months as inbound only.
I'm trying to setup some outbound clients for winblows boxes. I can get
whfc to send a fax without any problems but
I can get winprint to work right. Here's what's happening:
Open doc to fax
Print to hylafax printer
Popup window for fax number
Client connects to hylafax and sends a popup with hylafax error in the
window header but the windows contains a 220 code
I look on the hylafax box and the hfaxd has an open connection but does
nothing
The document gets stuck in the winclient spool stating it was printed.

If this isn't clear please let me know and I'll try to explain better.

Thanks

Jason
