Lee I run faxaddmodem again on ttyS7, ttyS6 and ttyS10 (three line in a hunt group). This time I change the FAXNumber: entry into a real phone number instead the fake one (I don't think this is the cause of it, but again I don't HylaFax that well either). Restart faxgetty for all three devices. Then run tail -f messages I can see STATE CHANGE: LISTENING -> ANSWERING for two devices. But not the third device so I still have to figure out what else might miss configured. I know for certain that I only chance three parameters while running the faxaddmodem: AreaCode: 806 FAXNumber: 488.8700 ServerTracing: 0xFFF I kept everything else as default except the three parameters above. So it works. However, I do not understand why it did not work before. What part did I missed or missed configured? So my questions is. If I have 8 devices (modem) While running faxaddmodem. 1. What parameters can I keep as default (by hit enter and not enter any new value) for all 8 devices ? and 2. What parameters I must change (have to be different) for 8 devices? 3. What other configuration might need to be different for all 8 devices? Thank you so much for respond to my issues and questions. Tom >It's probably your configuration.
