It's possible for a modem to signal an incoming call on V.24 Circuit 125 and/or with RING result codes. So it's possible that your modem is only doing the former. HylaFAX doesn't monitor V.24 Circuit 125. I would normally think, though, that a modem that did support both would have an S-register setting that controlled this behavior.
