We have been using Hylafax for the past six months without a problem, using a five year old IBM with a AMD K3-350 and a external Zoom V.92 fax modem. We receive about 1500 pages a month. We get faxes daily from new clients. The hard drive died and we replace the dead drive and installed Debian Sarge (stable), originally it was "testing" version of Sarge. For the past week we have not found the solution, searching mailing list archive and Google. I think its because we cant spot the problem to search for the correct solution. The modem answers the call but does not handshake with the incoming fax call. Please advise: --C Log File-- Sep 15 12:26:51.39: [ 4998]: SESSION BEGIN 000000052 12129719473 Sep 15 12:26:51.39: [ 4998]: HylaFAX (tm) Version 4.2.1 Sep 15 12:26:51.39: [ 4998]: <-- [4:ATA\r] Sep 15 12:26:57.62: [ 4998]: --> [7:CONNECT] Sep 15 12:26:57.62: [ 4998]: ANSWER: FAX CONNECTION DEVICE '/dev/ttyS1' Sep 15 12:26:57.62: [ 4998]: RECV FAX: begin Sep 15 12:26:57.62: [ 4998]: <-- data [32] Sep 15 12:26:57.62: [ 4998]: <-- data [2] Sep 15 12:26:59.54: [ 4998]: --> [7:CONNECT] Sep 15 12:26:59.54: [ 4998]: <-- data [23] Sep 15 12:26:59.54: [ 4998]: <-- data [2] Sep 15 12:27:00.37: [ 4998]: --> [7:CONNECT] Sep 15 12:27:00.37: [ 4998]: <-- data [10] Sep 15 12:27:00.37: [ 4998]: <-- data [2] Sep 15 12:27:00.92: [ 4998]: --> [2:OK] Sep 15 12:27:00.92: [ 4998]: <-- [9:AT+FRH=3\r] Sep 15 12:27:04.02: [ 4998]: --> [0:] Sep 15 12:27:04.02: [ 4998]: MODEM <Empty line> Sep 15 12:27:04.02: [ 4998]: <-- data [1] Sep 15 12:27:04.08: [ 4998]: --> [2:OK] Sep 15 12:27:04.08: [ 4998]: DELAY 1500 ms Sep 15 12:27:05.58: [ 4998]: <-- [9:AT+FTH=3\r] Sep 15 12:27:05.65: [ 4998]: --> [7:CONNECT] Sep 15 12:27:05.65: [ 4998]: <-- data [32] Sep 15 12:27:05.65: [ 4998]: <-- data [2] Sep 15 12:27:07.68: [ 4998]: --> [7:CONNECT] Sep 15 12:27:07.68: [ 4998]: <-- data [23] Sep 15 12:27:07.68: [ 4998]: <-- data [2] Sep 15 12:27:08.50: [ 4998]: --> [7:CONNECT] Sep 15 12:27:08.50: [ 4998]: <-- data [10] Sep 15 12:27:08.50: [ 4998]: <-- data [2] Sep 15 12:27:09.06: [ 4998]: --> [2:OK] Sep 15 12:27:09.06: [ 4998]: <-- [9:AT+FRH=3\r] Sep 15 12:27:12.16: [ 4998]: --> [0:] Sep 15 12:27:12.16: [ 4998]: MODEM <Empty line> Sep 15 12:27:12.16: [ 4998]: <-- data [1] Sep 15 12:27:12.22: [ 4998]: --> [2:OK] Sep 15 12:27:12.22: [ 4998]: DELAY 1500 ms Sep 15 12:27:13.72: [ 4998]: <-- [9:AT+FTH=3\r] Sep 15 12:27:13.79: [ 4998]: --> [7:CONNECT] Sep 15 12:27:13.79: [ 4998]: <-- data [32] Sep 15 12:27:13.79: [ 4998]: <-- data [2] Sep 15 12:27:15.81: [ 4998]: --> [7:CONNECT] Sep 15 12:27:15.81: [ 4998]: <-- data [23] Sep 15 12:27:15.81: [ 4998]: <-- data [2] Sep 15 12:27:16.64: [ 4998]: --> [7:CONNECT] Sep 15 12:27:16.64: [ 4998]: <-- data [10] Sep 15 12:27:16.64: [ 4998]: <-- data [2] Sep 15 12:27:17.19: [ 4998]: --> [2:OK] Sep 15 12:27:17.19: [ 4998]: <-- [9:AT+FRH=3\r] Sep 15 12:27:20.29: [ 4998]: --> [0:] Sep 15 12:27:20.29: [ 4998]: MODEM <Empty line> Sep 15 12:27:20.29: [ 4998]: <-- data [1] Sep 15 12:27:20.35: [ 4998]: --> [2:OK] Sep 15 12:27:20.35: [ 4998]: DELAY 1500 ms Sep 15 12:27:21.85: [ 4998]: <-- [9:AT+FTH=3\r] Sep 15 12:27:21.92: [ 4998]: --> [7:CONNECT] Sep 15 12:27:21.92: [ 4998]: <-- data [32] Sep 15 12:27:21.92: [ 4998]: <-- data [2] Sep 15 12:27:23.95: [ 4998]: --> [7:CONNECT] Sep 15 12:27:23.95: [ 4998]: <-- data [23] Sep 15 12:27:23.95: [ 4998]: <-- data [2] Sep 15 12:27:24.78: [ 4998]: --> [7:CONNECT] Sep 15 12:27:24.78: [ 4998]: <-- data [10] Sep 15 12:27:24.78: [ 4998]: <-- data [2] Sep 15 12:27:25.33: [ 4998]: --> [2:OK] Sep 15 12:27:25.33: [ 4998]: <-- [9:AT+FRH=3\r] Sep 15 12:27:28.43: [ 4998]: --> [0:] Sep 15 12:27:28.43: [ 4998]: MODEM <Empty line> Sep 15 12:27:28.43: [ 4998]: <-- data [1] Sep 15 12:27:28.49: [ 4998]: --> [2:OK] Sep 15 12:27:28.49: [ 4998]: DELAY 1500 ms Sep 15 12:27:29.99: [ 4998]: <-- [9:AT+FTH=3\r] Sep 15 12:27:30.06: [ 4998]: --> [7:CONNECT] Sep 15 12:27:30.06: [ 4998]: <-- data [32] Sep 15 12:27:30.06: [ 4998]: <-- data [2] Sep 15 12:27:32.09: [ 4998]: --> [7:CONNECT] Sep 15 12:27:32.09: [ 4998]: <-- data [23] Sep 15 12:27:32.09: [ 4998]: <-- data [2] Sep 15 12:27:32.91: [ 4998]: --> [7:CONNECT] Sep 15 12:27:32.91: [ 4998]: <-- data [10] Sep 15 12:27:32.91: [ 4998]: <-- data [2] Sep 15 12:27:33.47: [ 4998]: --> [2:OK] Sep 15 12:27:33.47: [ 4998]: <-- [9:AT+FRH=3\r] Sep 15 12:27:36.57: [ 4998]: --> [0:] Sep 15 12:27:36.57: [ 4998]: MODEM <Empty line> Sep 15 12:27:36.57: [ 4998]: <-- data [1] Sep 15 12:27:36.62: [ 4998]: --> [2:OK] Sep 15 12:27:36.62: [ 4998]: RECV FAX: No answer (T.30 T1 timeout) Sep 15 12:27:36.62: [ 4998]: RECV FAX: end Sep 15 12:27:36.62: [ 4998]: SESSION END --config.ttyS1 file-- #
