Lee, thanks for the good info. The sender can send to other faxes. This a fax store and forward service that I use occassionally. Someone faxes to me using the telephone number assigned by the service provider. The service provider stores the fax and notifies me of it's arrival. I call into their system and direct the fax to a telephone number of my choosing. If I direct it to a standard fax "machine", things work ok. If I direct it to my hylafax server, it's a no go. The fax store and forward service is quite antiquated and I've had numerous issues with it before, but those mostly involved the service actually receiving and storing a fax on my behalf. I have received faxes from this service using an earlier version of hylafax and a different modem, but not with 100% reliability. I'm prepared to give up on this one. Thanks for your assistance. --- Lee Howard <faxguy@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> wrote: > > The sender is calling but then is trying to receive > a fax. The sender's > fax machine is broken.
