Basically the client/server communication protocol is FTP + a few hylafax specific extension. So do some reading up and ensure that you understand the FTP protocol, and Hylafax will seem like a *somewhat* logical extension. The Hylafax protocol is documented here: http://www.hylafax.org/man/hfaxd.php For examples, send a fax using "faxstat -v" and it will show you the communication between the client and the server.
