[hylafax-users] fax tomail gateway with postifx
Hi Group,
I've installed Kolab 2 beta 4, and Hylafax 4.2.1 on a Debian
kernelversion says 2.4) .
I can send and recieve emails. I can send faxes with sendfax -n -d faxno
filename.
So far so good.
But then I got "übermütig" (I'm looking up for the word later) and I
decided that I want to send fax via the underlying postfix.
I've made up my mind and I want to send faxes in the form.
0123456789@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
I've edited the main.cf, the master.cf and transport as described at
postifx.org,
kolab/etc/postfix/master.cf:
fax unix - n n - 1 pipe
flags= user=fax argv=/usr/bin/faxmail -d -n ${user}
kolab/etc/postfix/main.cf:
transport_maps = hash:/etc/postfix/transport
fax_destination_recipient_limit = 1
kolab/etc/postfix/transport:
fax.mydomain.tld fax:localhost
and after editing the transport I have postmapped the whole thing.
postfix.log now complains:
Apr 25 21:17:00 kidlinux <warning> postfix/qmgr[15717]: warning: connect
to transport fax: Connection refused
I've tried with different versions of transport:
for example:
fax.kidlinux.mydomain.tld fax:localhost
or
kidlinux.mydomain.tld fax:localhost
But this has not produced the results I was hoping for. The message
bounced at my ISP "unknown mailbox" or so.
Can you help me ?
Thanks,
Georg
PS übermütig : overconfident (one or two words, I don't know?)
