Re: [hylafax-users] PPS error on Hayes modem

Hi

I'm new to Hylafax, so I'm not really sure what I am doing, but I seem to have set things up correctly. I'd be grateful for any pointers on what me or my modem is doing wrong.

I'm using Hylafax 4.2.1 on a Redhat Fedora core 3 box. The modem is a Hayes Accura external 56K Speakerphone (Rockwell chipset I believe) connected to /dev/ttyS0. Its setup as a class 1 fax device.

When sending faxes (I've tried 2 different numbers) I am getting the error "No response to PPS repeated 3 times.; Giving up after 3 attempts to send same page"

I attach a full send log, a probemodem report and the class1 settings file

"No response to PPS" errors are very difficult to troubleshoot. It helps if we know what the receiver did. Did it print out an error? Did it print out the page? Can you send a fax to another HylaFAX box and send both sender and receiver logs?

This is something that I like to see:

AT+FAR=? RESULT = "OK" RESPONSE = "0,1"
