Re: [hylafax-users] Troubleshooting failure to train modems

I'm getting a lot of incoming fax failures due to failure to train modems.
What's odd is faxes from the same machine will sometimes work, sometimes
not. I'm wondering if there are any settings I can tweak to improve the
situation. A log of one of the failures is attached below. I'm wondering
if I should increase Class1TCFMaxNonZero, since that seems to be the error
that's being flagged.

Notice that garbage before "DELAY 75 ms" ? Your modem undoubtedly
reset itself. You'll need to get with the modem manufacturer to fix that.
However, it may be a consequence of using Class1TCFRecvHack. So you may
want to try disabling that. The "Hack" config options are really for
troubleshooting purposes. Sometimes I guess that they could prove
beneficial for production-use in some circumstances, but generally I'd
not expect them to be in production-use.
