I am new to this list and relatively new to hylafax at all - so please don't smack me if I write some sort of scrap here. ;-) Please forgive me also if my english is way bad, I'm just totally right out of it. ;-)
First of all - my system config looks like this: - Linux Distribution SuSE 9.1 (Linux stargate 2.6.5-7.111.30-default #1 Fri Jan 14 12:58:46 UTC 2005 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux) - all packages from the SuSE CDs and updates via YOU - ISDN card AVM Fritz! PCI (v1 I think) - hylafax version 4.1.8-24.4 - capi4hylafax 4.1.8-24.2 - avmfritzcapi 2.6-26 - libtiff 3.6.1-38.14 - gcc 3.3.3-41
I use hylafax since half a year now, let's say all-in-all at a good level of satisfaction. Till now I used hylafax with only one MSN, so that there were nearly no problems while using it.
Now it came to the time that I need one more faxnumber to send and receive from. So what I did to get hylafax to know the second MSN is that I added a new configuration block in the file /var/spool/fax/etc/config.faxCAPI. I added some new clients in the file hosts.hfaxd and added the email-address and the MSN in the users-file.
Now when I call faxstat I only get to see the new faxnumber I entered in the new block of the config file.
=============================================================== stargate:/var/spool/fax/etc # stargate:/var/spool/fax/etc # faxstat HylaFAX scheduler on stargate.swami.net: Running Modem faxCAPI (+49.4xyz.1234567): Running and idle stargate:/var/spool/fax/etc # ===============================================================
When I manually call c2faxrecv (which already runs called via inittab) then I can see the two MSNs: =============================================================== stargate:/var/spool/fax/etc # stargate:/var/spool/fax/etc # c2faxrecv -v
Device "faxCAPI" uses 2 receive thread(s) with the following config: Controller=1 : IncomingMSNs=24
Device "faxCAPI2" uses 2 receive thread(s) with the following config: Controller=1 : IncomingMSNs=22
stargate:/var/spool/fax/etc # ===============================================================
First of all, sending a fax with sendfax (on the server console) works fine, but trying to send a fax with WHFC from a windows client (same applies for a SuSE client with susefax) results in this log message and no dialing or accessing the CAPI interface at all:
So no dialing at all happens nor does the system at all tries to activate the capi or whatever should happen at this point. ;-) So this is my first problem, and is the biggest one. Please help, I don't get along on my own with this. ;-(
My second problem is hopefully easier to solve, maybe just a logical error of me... ;-) --> How can I tell hylafax to use MSN A (24) or MSN B (22) whilst sending out a fax?? I didn't find any useful informations at all on the net while searching for keywords regarding hylafax and more than one MSN.
So I would really appreciate it if someone could point me to a solution here, too. ;-)
Sorry for this long posting, but I just didn't manage to get it shorter. ;-)
