Why do you need to use faxwatch? If you just want to know the sucesses/fail of a fax you can change faxrcvd to log to a database. If you search the archives many people have done it already.
I read the documentation and found the "faxwatch" utility, which looked perfect for what I needed. All I had to do was pipe the output into a script that does the DB work I need and I was in business.
