I was checking /etc/pam.d/other against some of the other files in the pam.d directory. I didn't like the /lib/security/$ISA/pam_deny.so that I had for all 4 entries. I changed this to pam_stack.so service=system-auth which is consistent with the other files that work. After re-compiling 4.2.0 everything appears to be working. I copied the modified /etc/pam.d/other file to /etc/pam.d/hylafax and changed the modified /etc/pam.d/other file back to its original values. Hylafax is still working correctly. I know nothing about pam nor how hylafax actually uses pam. Is what I've down correct? Is there a better way to handle this? -- Gerry "The lyfe so short, the craft so long to learne" Chaucer ____________________ HylaFAX(tm) Users Mailing List _______________________ To subscribe/unsubscribe, click http://lists.hylafax.org/cgi-bin/lsg2.cgi On UNIX: mail -s unsubscribe hylafax-users-request@xxxxxxxxxxx < /dev/null *To learn about commercial HylaFAX(tm) support, mail sales@xxxxxxxxx*
