looks not like:

southpole:~> ps ax |grep fax
 6210 ?        Ss     0:00 /usr/sbin/faxq
 6215 ?        Ss     0:00 /usr/lib/fax/hfaxd -i hylafax -o 4557 -s 444
 7743 pts/1    R+     0:00 grep fax

But is faxgetty required in a send-only environment?
