Thanks for your info. Quite a lot have had similar problem although they
do not like identical. I wonder if there is a way to get more
trace/loging out of the system?

I found in /var/spool/hylafax/doneq the file q48 which had these 3 lines
near the bottom: 
status:/bin/cat: write error: Broken pipe\

returned:0
Apparently a pipe with the right side gone. What could that be?
