Thanks for this accurate answer.Maybe a more correct command would be 'trap ":" 0 1 2 15', but the real problem is that the SendToModem do not return correctly: check your device permission, kernel driver, and so on.

kernel driver: - minicom works well... I can send commands to modem.
Device perms: crw-rw-rw- 1 root dialout 4, 64 Sep 2 00:14 /dev/ttyS0
intranet:~# groups uucp uucp : uucp dialout
So on: -I just don't know!
