HylaFAX The world's most advanced open source fax server |
Hey all, Having a little bit of an issue with sending faxes /
emailing out faxes. I have the “classic” setup specified in
sh-postfix going, that is, copying the script to /usr/bin/mailfax, and using
the format user@xxxxxxxxxx . It seems like
the pipe is working fine, as by checking the postfix logs the mail is
successfully sent to the relay:fax. The problem, though, is that even sendfax doesn’t
work. It gives me a really weird error amounting to header not found in ?PNG in
one of the ghostscript files. I’ve checked and ghostscript and libpng are
installed correctly, so I’m not sure what’s going on. This has also
happened with .ps and .txt files, so I don’t think it’s a file
issue. I have also noticed that postfix has complained occasionally
about not being able to write to /var/spool/mail/fax, says it cannot open this
file. The file is about 51 MB, not sure if that indicates a problem or not. Specs are: Mandrake 9.0 Hylafax 4.2.0 I believe the modem is a Rockwell 8-port, I can check to be
sure though. I don’t think it’s hardware related, as inbound
service is working just beautifully, the system has never been used for
actually sending faxes though so I’m not sure if I’m missing a
common setup step here at all. Thanks in advance! |
