Dear all,

I am a fresh begineer that i have installed hylafax to my redhat
linux server,
and I would like to ask if there any manual or might you teach me how
to config the hyalafax with my DID modem?
The modem model is: Multi Tech MT5634ZBA-DID

There are default prototype configuration files for this modem, and in 4.2.0 they include correct intialization settings.

When i use com port hyper terminal to enter AT command:
AT*DS1*DD0*dn4*dt15
ATS0=1

it will give me the string "DID:2409",
when i dial XXXX2409 in telephone line!

might the expert help me or teach me?

Straight from the config/lucent file...

# Or with the MT5634ZBA-DID you'll probably need something like...
# ModemReadyCmds: AT*DS1*DD0*DF1*DN4 # enable DTMF-DID, wink-start, 4 digits
# CIDNumber: "DTMF" # format of AT*DF1
# CIDNumberAnswerLength: 4 # four DTMF-DID digits then ATA

So I guess in your case you would do:

RingsBeforeAnswer: 0
ModemReadyCmds: AT*DS1*DD0*DT15*DN4
CIDNumber: "DID:"
CIDNumberAnswerLength: 4
