Here's an update to the "Can not initialize modem" problem I was seeing in my /var/log/messages file. Running the test I would see the can "not initialize message" about every 8 minutes. I added these lines to my modem config file: Class1RMQueryCmd: "!3,24,48,72,73,74,96,97,98,121,122,145,146" Class1TMQueryCmd: "!3,24,48,72,73,74,96,97,98,121,122,145,146" ModemModelQueryCmd: "!LT V.92 1.0 MT5634ZPX-PCI-U Internal Data/Fax/Voice Modem Version 1.32i" ModemMfrQueryCmd: "!LT V.92 1.0 MT5634ZPX-PCI-U Internal Data/Fax/Voice Modem Version 1.32i" ModemClassQueryCmd: "!0,1,1.0,2,2.0,2.1,8" After adding these lines I haven't seen the "can not initialize" message in over 10 hours of running the test. I'm not sure if this solved the problem or just reduced the chance of it happening below the threshold of what my test would detect. Would it be reasonable to reduce ModemResetDelay from 2600ms to 1000ms and ModemSoftResetCmdDelay from 3000ms to 1000ms to further reduce the chance of a call coming in while HylaFAX is initializing the modem?
