Kris, With 1.32f, I used to get "LSR safety check engaged!" messages in the messages file just like you mentioned. Afer these messages modem would stop responding and the only way to make it work again was to reboot the machine. Sometimes machine would hang as well. With 1.32i, I do not get "LSR safety check engaged!" messages any more. However, after receiving 150-200 faxes, modem stops responding and hylafax tries to initialize it several times. if we are lucky, hylafax manages to initialize it after several attemts and modem continues to work again. But in some cases, hylafax cannot initialize it and we see "waiting for modem to come ready" state with faxstat command. Moreover, we also had some cases where machine crashed without any error messages. We had to power it off and on again in these cases. The same machine works fine with firmware version 1.25p and receives about 1,000 pages per day. This made me think that there might be some problems with 1.32f and 1.32i. But I haven't figured it out yet. I am running hylafax in "class 1". I tried running hylafax in 1,2,2.1 for the firmware version 1.32f but none of them made a difference. I have not tried 1.32i with anything other than "class 1" Best Regards, -----Original Message----- From: hylafax-users-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:hylafax-users-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Kris Henderson Sent: Thursday, July 29, 2004 1:40 AM To: hylafax-users@xxxxxxxxxxx Subject: Re: [hylafax-users] MT-5634ZPX-PCI-U 1.32i firmware > -----Original Message----- > From: Steven Kurylo [mailto:skurylo@xxxxxxxxxxxx] > > I was hooping 1.32i would be better but it seems, what > ever the problem is in 1.32f happens to exist in 1.32i as well. Steve, What kind of problems were you having with 1.32f? > I was wondering if anybody has been able to deploy it > without any problem. I've been using 1.32i for a couple weeks now and it has been working fine. Sometimes I would get a "LSR safety check engaged!" message in the /var/log/messages file with 1.32f. I have not seen this in 1.32i. I'm running HylaFAX in Class 1.0.
