Look for a box called a skutch. It will emulate a phone line between your fax machine and hylafax server. Used to be very commonly used for testing ivr services but are not seen much any due to everything becoming digital. -----Original Message----- From: hylafax-users-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:hylafax-users-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxx]On Behalf Of PG Sent: Friday, 23 July 2004 1:39 PM To: hylafax-users@xxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [hylafax-users] use fax machine as scanner Hi, I've been using my fax machine as a document scanner, to fax the document back to my hylafax server for a few years. I have to fax them over telephone lines to get above done. Is there some ways that I could do it without going thru real telephone lines? eg serial port to serial port, modem to modem (linked with a plain telephone cable)?
