You need to rebuild the SRPM into an RPM, and then install the RPM.

rpmbuild --rebuild metamail-2.7-29.src.rpm
or
rpm --rebuild metamail-2.7-29.src.rpm

depending on your version of RPM. Watch where it installs the binary (i386)
RPM, and install that.
