I re-ran faxaddmodem. It tells me that my modem is a type 2, but did not give me an opportunity to change it. Should I hand-hack the /var/spool/hylafax/etc/config.ttyS1 file? It includes a line reading: ModemType: Class2 # use class 2 interface Should I change that to read: "Class1"? I want to change the configuration for the RECEIVING modem, right? Not the TRANSMITTING modem? Or do I need to change the both? They are two identical modems, one on each of the serial ports. Is this a bogus way to test this installation, having the server fax itself? -- Hugh On Wed, 21 Apr 2004 13:42:56 -0700 Lee Howard <faxguy@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> wrote: > On 2004.04.21 13:55 Hugh Esco wrote: > > How do I do that? -- Hugh > > > > On Wed, 21 Apr 2004 13:39:07 -0700 > > Lee Howard <faxguy@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> wrote: > > > Try switching to Class 1, if possible. > > Re-run faxaddmodem. > > Lee. > -- +--------------------------------------------- | Hugh Esco, <hesco@xxxxxxxxxx> 404-806-0480 | Political Coordinator, Georgia Green Party | Post Office Box 5332; Atlanta GA 31107 | http://www.greens.org/georgia/ +--------------------------------------------- ____________________ HylaFAX(tm) Users Mailing List _______________________ To subscribe/unsubscribe, click http://lists.hylafax.org/cgi-bin/lsg2.cgi On UNIX: mail -s unsubscribe hylafax-users-request@xxxxxxxxxxx < /dev/null *To learn about commercial HylaFAX(tm) support, mail sales@xxxxxxxxx*
