[hylafax-users] Problem with second modem

Good evening,

System:
- Intel Pentium 200mhz,
- 48mb RAM
- 3.7gb IDE hard disk
- RedHat linux 7.3
- Two ISA Modems, detected as generic, both configured at 33.6kbps.

My problem is that when I have a second modem installed is that it doesn't
answer, I can dial out with CU like the following:

'# cu -l ttyS1
atdt 12345'

The number I call rings, not a problem there, the second modem in the
machine will answer, no problems. I have used faxaddmodem for both, the
respawn is in /etc/inittab:

'# Faxing
mo:2345:respawn:/usr/local/sbin/faxgetty ttyS2 ttyS1'

(I was wondering, should I try each modem on a different respawn line?)

The modem that wont answer is at ttyS1 (I installed it after the first one
got installed), it is a Rockwell.
The modem that answers is at ttyS2, this is a Connexant chipset.

Any ideas anybody?

Regards

Richard
