OK it worked after changing the owner of hosts.hfaxd (back) to uucp.  I 
thought it was required to be owner fax.  I can view the directory tree under 
/var/spool/fax in Konquerer, but that is all. I can't cd or access files.  I 
take it that is due to difference between ftp protocol and Hylafax protocol?   
Then to "follow the ftp link" I need some hylafax client, such as WHFC, Pyla, 
Cypheus, etc.  Any suggestions for a a simple ftp-like client ?
