I was running HylaFax 4.1.8 under RedHat 9.0 (most packages recompiled) and everything worked perfectly.
I recently redid the server using Fedora Core 1, building the same packages I had under RedHat 9.0. All the hardware is the same, including my modem, a U.S. Robotics Courier V.Everything External. Now the incoming faxes are corrupt. I've checked the .tif images in the recvq directory and they're all bad, having either invalid headers or just showing garbage at the very top and the rest blank.
Does anybody have any ideas of what might possibly be the problem here?
