[hylafax-users] ANSWER: Ring detected without successful handshake and MODEM Command error

Hi,

I can not send or receive faxes with hylafax.
os: SuSE Enterprise server 8 (Openexchange Server 4.1) based on SuSE Linux
8.1 hylafax binary: hylafax-4.1.3-55.i586.rpm from SuSE 8.1
Modem: Dr. Neuhaus Cybermod 28.8 V.34 (capable for both Class 1 and Class 2)

Following is a small excerpt about the error messages I get from
/var/log/messages:

Mar  2 14:42:47 mailrelay FaxGetty[27082]: --> [5:ERROR]
Mar  2 14:42:48 mailrelay FaxGetty[27082]: --> [5:ERROR]
Mar  2 14:44:38 mailrelay FaxGetty[27082]: ANSWER: Ring detected without
successful handshake
Mar  2 14:45:28 mailrelay FaxGetty[27082]: --> [5:ERROR]
Mar  2 14:45:29 mailrelay FaxGetty[27082]: --> [5:ERROR]
Mar  2 14:45:29 mailrelay FaxGetty[27082]: MODEM Command error
Mar  2 14:45:29 mailrelay FaxGetty[27082]: MODEM input buffering disabled

Some commands on the config.ttyS1 seem to be wrong, however I do not know
which? I looked at the configuration manual of the modem but it is rather
difficult to me to compare the config information of hylafax with that of
the modem. Sometime before I succeeded to let hylafax send and receive faxes
with the same modem, however after a fresh installation of SLOX it never
worked.

Any idea?
