Re: [hylafax-users] Upgrade in Place issue

I want to upgrade a "live" (redhat) system from 4.1.5 to 4.1.7...The issue is: What happens to faxes in the
send queue that have not been sent when I stop HylaFax and upgrade to the newer version? Are these documents/faxes lost?

Thoughts?

I've been experimenting with a few different versions, including a patched CVS distribution. I don't know what the Red Hat rpms do during upgrades, but when you start with sources and use ./configure, make, and make install, all the stuff in /var/spool/hylafax seems to remain intact, including the log files and the sendq, docq, and doneq directories. If you re-run "faxsetup," you may get a new config file for your modem, but I think it saves the old config file under another name.
