I suspect that the Windows fax clients fax your "landscape" A4 in portrait. I.e., it comes out the machine in portrait. In other words, they make an assumption that HylaFAX doesn't. HylaFAX can't necessarily tell that you're faxing a landscape page or a portrait page. Indeed, it does know that it's wider than it is long, but "strip" faxes are also wider than they are long. AND there are machines out there that support wide paper. Still, I'm not saying that HylaFAX doesn't have a shortcoming in this regard, but I think you're approaching things in a difficult way. Wouldn't it be easy to just rotate your page before sending it to HylaFAX?
