[hylafax-users] RE : RE : New Windows client for Hylafax - fax service provider (HylaFSP)

Serge,

I've done all of this, the regsvr succeeded, but i still see no HylaFSP0
in the list of devices available to the fax...

here is the .reg I merged with the registry database :

/snip/
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Fax\Device Providers\HylaFSP]
"IPAddr"="191.30.69.1" (ip of my hylafax server)
"UserName"="ppl"
"Password"="mypassword"
"Debug"="off"
"NotifyEMail"="ppl@mycompany.fr"
/snip/

the Hylafsp.dll is int \winnt\system32 and has been successfully
registered.

and the only device I see available to the fax is my internal modem...

Did I forget something ?

Any idea ?

tnx.

Phil.

Phil,

I have misspelled, run
'regsvr32 Hylafsp.dll' to register the FSP, not 'regsvr32 fylafsp.dll' .
You should receive a confirmation popup about successful registration,
"DllRegisterServer in HylaFSP.dll succeeses". Anothet reason is that you
might need to enable the FSP to send faxes, go into Start -> "Printers
and Faxes", right click on 'Fax' in the 'Printers and Faxes' window,
select Properties popup menu item, go to Devices tab in the 'Fax
Properties' window, enable send on HylaFSP0. If there is no HylaFSP0 on
the properties tab, close the 'Fax Properties' window and restart Fax
service (Control Panel -> Administrative tools -> Services). Hope, it
will help. Regards, Serge
