[hylafax-users] sendfax sends blank pages

I'm running HylaFAX 4.1.6 for sending faxes on Solaris 9 with a
NetComm SmartModem and I get blank pages appearing at the destination fax

The command "sendfax -v -n -t 1 -T 1 -m -d {faxnumber} faxtest.ps" is
being used to send the fax.
 
There is a valid postscript document in /var/spool/hylafax/docq and a
temporary tiff format file is created there as well while it is attempting
to transmit the fax. I've also tried sending plain text and tiff format 
files.

I've tried setting the modem up as a Class 2 and then as a a Class 1 modem
with the same problem each time. The last statement shown in each run is a
"SEND begin page" so I'm guessing the modem config isn't right.

Any ideas on how to debug this would be appreciated.
