[hylafax-users] Debian upgrade broke Hylafax

Things are never as simple as they seem. :(

Could anyone help me here? I've upgraded a hylafax server from Debian
Potato to Woody and in the middle of this Hylafax broke.

Even those who do not use Debian could help though because I think it's
a solvable problem outside of that.

Here's the problem:

I tried to run...
cat /home/greg/2603 | faxmail -d -n -v greg@604608XXXX
...where the 2603 file is an email.

I get a whole bunch of stuff as it processes the file, then:
Font com: /usr/local/lib/ghostscript/fonts/com: Can not open font
metrics file; using fixed widths.
Font Helvetica-Bold: /usr/local/lib/ghostscript/fonts/Helvetica-Bold:
Can not open font metrics file; using fixed widths.
Font Helvetica-Oblique:
/usr/local/lib/ghostscript/fonts/Helvetica-Oblique: Can not open font
metrics file; using fixed widths.
MIME part (line 31): text/plain charset=us-ascii encoding=7bit
Trying localhost (127.0.0.1) at port 4559...
Connected to juicer.
220 juicer server (HylaFAX (tm) Version 4.1.1) ready.
-> USER greg
530 User greg access denied.
faxmail: Login failed: 530 User greg access denied..

I've also tried 'sendfax' and got the same 530 error, as root, as
faxmaster and as greg.

I thought maybe it was a permissions problem, so I made sure the
'faxmaster' user had the name numerical ID as uucp (according to some
posts on this list), and chown'ed all the files in
/var/spool/hylafax/etc to match.

Can anyone give me an idea of something next to check or try? I'm
tearing my hair out.

Thanks!

Greg
