[hylafax-users] Diva card fax transmit level?

we have an Eicon Diva Server PRI 2.0 PCI M30 in a linux machine. 
 According to a certain test we've done, our fax transmit level is about 
twice as loud as it should be.
"divactrl ctrl -c 1 -ModemTransmitLevel 15" or whatever, doesn't seem to 
work, instead giving me:

Start adapter Nr:1 - 'Diva Server PRI 2.0 PCI', SN: 1842 ... FAILED
Adapter state is: active

-Debug produces no extra output.

The machine is using kernel 2.4.20, i4l_divas 1.2 and divactrl 1.2.

Anyone know how to fix this problem?
