Daniel, Does the following excerpt from the sendfax man page help? -B speed Try to transmit facsimile documents using the desired signalling rate. Possible speeds are: 2400, 4800, 7200, 9600, 12000, 14400, 16800, 19200, 21600, 24000, 26400, 28800, 31200, and 33600. If the specified speed is greater than the transmitting modem or receiver is capable of, it is reduced to the highest possible speed both devices support. By default HylaFAX will use the fastest possible rate supported by the transmitting modem and receiving facsimile device (unless restricted by other server configuration); this option can be used to reduce the speed. Note that international calls are frequently more reli able when transmissions are restricted to 9600 bits/second. The HylaFAX man pages are excellent - and they make excellent bedtime reading ;-) -Darren -- Darren Nickerson Senior Sales & Support Engineer iFax Solutions, Inc. www.ifax.com darren.nickerson@ifax.com +1.215.438.4638 ----- Original Message ----- From: "Danielh" <danielh@uniexchange.com> To: <hylafax-users@hylafax.org> Sent: Tuesday, May 13, 2003 11:37 AM Subject: [hylafax-users] set the modem rate @9600 only > Hi! anyone can tell me how to set the maximum rate 9600 for fax transmission > on hylafax?
